And today...was a very good day.

I will be getting my PhD. Come Hell or high water.

Because today, I received not one, but *two* acceptances. One from University of Exeter, and the other from University of Reading (who, incidentally, rejected me two years ago). I am completely feeling the UK love.

And, to top it off, I've been accepted to the Disjunctions conference at UC Riverside in April, where I get to present a paper on Neil Gaiman.

(A paper I now need to write)

But hey, it's all good. Because I'm getting a PhD!

Congratulations!!! A friend of mine went to Exeter and really loved it (and it's near the sea! I have a particularly fond memory of sitting on a bench in Exmouth eating chips one December...) And, er, I've been to the music festival in Reading. It's very easy to get to Oxford from it...

Do you have to make a decision yet, or will you wait to see if you have any more acceptances?

I'll need to wait and see, as I've still got fourteen decisions waiting, and they give me three months to give them a decision. And even I've only been through both Exeter and Reading while on the train to somewhere else. ;)
