Jun. 6th, 2005 08:14 pmThings you enjoy, even when no one around you wants to go out and play. What lowers your stress/blood pressure/anxiety level? Make a list, post it to your journal... and then tag 5 friends and ask them to post it to theirs.
1. Reading. First, always, and foremost. Losing myself in a good book, whether for half and hour or ten hours, is possibly the greatest stress relief ever.
2. Films. Watching/rewatching. Again, escapism.
3. Writing. It usually puts me in a better mood, but again, depends on the source of stress.
4. Listening to music, usually as accompaniment to 1 or 3, but occasionally on its own.
5. Sleep.
6. Walking, if the weather's nice. Especially here. Pretty buildings abound.
7. Organising. Even if it's the sort of thing that doesn't matter in the least. Nice delusion of having control over one's life.
