Rosamund's Title Meme

Snipped from
rosamund. Because I'm being very stupid and reading Stephen King at night during a thunderstorm and need minor distraction.
You're supposed to post titles of f different fanfics and explain why you used them. As I've not actually written that many fanfics of any sort, I'm going to do as she did and use posts.
1. Glitterati
rosamund and I butted into a random thread and, considering the characters involved, the title seemed only too apt.
2. Drunk on Milk of Paradise
Reference to Coleridge's "Kubla Khan" ("For he on honey-dew hath fed / And drunk the milk of Paradise). Metaphor for a stolen moment in this particular post, one I'm actually rather proud of even after a few years.
3. Lest I Remember Him
From Emily Dickinson's poem "Heart! We Will Forget Him." Another post I happen to like a lot, where one character contemplates suicide and ultimately decides against it.
4. La Danse d'Enfer
Literally translates to "The Dance of Hell," a play on the thread's earlier title of "La Danse d'Hiver" (the Dance of Winter). In this particular ball, the antics of a five-year-old girl and one terrified toad manage to completely disrupt a thoroughly proper ball. Written whilst quite intoxicated.
5. If Music Be the Food of Truth
Variation on the opening line of Twelfth Night ("If music be the food of love...") for one of the Musical threads.
6. Taught By Angels
From ONI, involving a character of mine and one of
rosamund's playing Beethoven's "Kreutzer" sonata for violin and piano.
7. Rosamund on the Rocks
Three words: absinthe and lemonade.
8. Struck Down by a Hammer
From the Rufus Wainwright song "April Fools." The character in question gets some very surprising news when interrupted while practicing this song.
9. The Dark of the Morning
From a storyline on TR where all the post title came from the musical The Scarlet Pimpernel. This particular one comes from the song "Where's the Girl" and takes place a little after midnight, therefore in the "morning."
10. They That Love Best Their Loves Shall Not Enjoy
Snatched from one of the final stanzas of Shakespeare's "Venus and Adonis." As for the piece in question, the angst! Oh, the angst! Marinated in it, really.
11. On the Perils of Boredom
The post that started the Musical. Moral of the story: don't bore the Devil. Weirdness will ensue.
And now, back to scaring the hell out of myself. Goodnight all.
