Because I have no willpower ;)

Songs of Innocence, Introduction
You are 'regularly metric verse'. This can take
many forms, including heroic couplets, blank
verse, and other iambic pentameters, for
example. It has not been used much since the
nineteenth century; modern poets tend to prefer
rhyme without meter, or even poetry with
neither rhyme nor meter.

You appreciate the beautiful things in life--the
joy of music, the color of leaves falling, the
rhythm of a heartbeat. You see life itself as
a series of little poems. The result (or is it
the cause?) is that you are pensive and often
melancholy. You enjoy the company of other
people, but they find you unexcitable and
depressing. Your problem is that regularly
metric verse has been obsolete for a long time.

Hmm...this for the girl who had to go to a different country to study pre-20th-Century literature because nobody in her home country cared. Are we surprised? God, I hope not.

The Hierophant Card
You are the the Hierophant card. The Hierophant,
called The Pope in some decks, is the preserver
of cultural traditions. After entering The
Emperor's society, The Hierophant teaches us
its wisdom. The Hierophant learns and teaches
our cultural traditions. The discoveries our
ancestors have made influence the present.
Without forces such as The Hierophant who are
able to interpret and communicate traditional
lore, each generation would have to begin to
learn anew. As a force that is concentrated on
our past and our culture, The Hierophant can
sometimes be stubborn and set in his ways. This
is a negative trait he shares with his zodiac
sign, Taurus. But like Taurus he is productive.
His traditional lore can provide a source of
inspiration for the creatively inclined, and
his knowledge provides an excellent foundation
for those who come into their own in the
business world. Image from: Morgan E.

Now, I actually answered this wrong on her journal, so read it properly if you want to do it. Unlike me. ::grin::

"You name three fictional characters. I have to pick one to push off a cliff, one to marry, and one to shag. (no celebrity names since celebrities aren't fictional...for the most part)"

To push off a cliff: ...such a toughie. Even authors are easier. Let's say Gueneviere.

One to marry: Athos.

One to shag: David Alexander Tielman Campion. By all accounts, he's very good at it.

Done. Though only in selected versions. Other times, she's entirely bearable.

Done. Poor darling needs some happiness after all that trauma.

::grins widely::

...completely and utterly done. Get thee over here, sexy scholar boy.

::I just want to say that she's evil. And that I can't be her Mary Sue however alike we might be because I'd never be so mean::

Sofiya Chekya
Charles Dyal
Stevan Radnovic

[identity profile] lareinenoire.livejournal.com 2005-02-23 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
You are a horrible human being. Oh dear God. I can't throw any of them off a cliff because they're all so sweet! Though...

I think I may have to push Stevan because knowing him, he'd find some creative, Indiana Jones-esque way of surviving it. I think I'll make sure it's a cliff above water. Then he can swim.

Charles is definitely marrying material. And Sofiya...she'd be fun! ;)

::grins::

Sofiya is looking thoughtful. I think I may have to worry ;)

And Stevan says that next time could you do it when he's not wearing his leather jacket as the salt ruined it.

Baron Harkonnen
Fred Christ
Wormtongue

I even kept it to humans (or mostly humans). Have fun.

[identity profile] lareinenoire.livejournal.com 2005-02-24 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm. Of these three, I'm properly familiar with one and have heard of one other. Fred Christ, I have no clue. Give me clue so I can decide? ;)

[identity profile] wsykes.livejournal.com 2005-03-03 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Fred Christ is the sleezy head of a "Humans who want to be Aliens" cult. He's from Transmetropolitan, by Warren Ellis.

Jonathan Strange
Jack Sparrow
Faramir(had to have at leat one LOTR character in there)

[identity profile] lareinenoire.livejournal.com 2005-02-24 01:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't actually *read* JS&MR but between the other two, I'd marry Faramir and shag Jack. He'd be fun, but I can't see myself pinning him down.

[identity profile] eilonwy74.livejournal.com 2005-02-24 06:11 am (UTC)(link)

William Darcy
Remus Lupin (can't resist)
D'Artagnan

Familiarly and such...

Josh Roberts
Kat Desmond
Eddie Rimbauer

[identity profile] lareinenoire.livejournal.com 2005-02-24 01:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Oyyy. So difficult. So mean!

Well, of all the Musketeers, I didn't particularly care for d'Artagnan until Man in the Iron Mask so I suppose he can be cliffed for that. Between the other two...oh my. I think I'd have to take the classic choice and marry Darcy after shagging Lupin. Love you, Remus, but you just can't compare with Colin Firth and Pemberley. ;)

On the familiarly side, Kat's all but my alter ego, so she can get cliffed...

::You bitch!::

I'm sorry! Considering you're miserable at the moment, it'll put you out of that misery...

::That's *so* not comforting::

And between the other two, shag Josh (::Ari glares::) and marry Eddie.

*grumble grumble*

[identity profile] lareinenoire.livejournal.com 2005-03-01 02:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, don't grumble. Fictional characters don't compare to the real thing. ;)
