I thought Warwick was overacting a lot, but that of all the parts to overact, it was probably the one that had the least problems in terms of character.
BTW, when York assaults Joan when she's tied to the stake, does be actually stab her with a weapon, or has she in fact not been sleeping with Dauphin?
Oh, I think he actually stabbed her. At least that was what it looked like to me, and I winced bigtime. I was really quite harrowing. Although I think she was sleeping with the Dauphin in this production. When they both appeared wrapped in sheets and half-naked at the siege of Rouen and so forth.
I did wonder how they got it out of the costumes!
Extra-strength bleach. Although if my memory of fake blood is accurate, it actually washes out relatively easily. Unlike hair dye.
