Stabbed does make sense - and we were definitely all wincing at that point, being in the third row from the front, to the left of the stage (audience left). And the running on bit to laughter at his pasty legs did seem to imply that shenanigans were going on.
(I forget whether you are a GRR Martin fan, but Warwick did make me think "Hear Me Roar" quite a lot).
